Installation and Setup

avenue-theme.zipfile from your purchase email - In Shopify Admin, go to Online Store > Themes
- Click Add theme > Upload zip file
- Select the ZIP and wait for upload (30-60 seconds)
- Click Actions > Publish to make it live

What Shopify plans are compatible?
Section titled “What Shopify plans are compatible?”Avenue Luxe works with all Shopify plans:

Do I need to delete my existing theme?
Section titled “Do I need to delete my existing theme?”No. Keep your old theme as a backup. Shopify allows multiple themes in your library. You can switch between themes at any time.
How do I update the theme?
Section titled “How do I update the theme?”- Download the latest version
- Upload as a new theme (don’t overwrite)
- Copy your settings from the old theme
- Test the new version
- Publish when ready
Feature Configuration
Section titled “Feature Configuration”How do I enable Quick View?
Section titled “How do I enable Quick View?”Go to Theme Settings > Quick View and check “Enable Quick View.” Choose your preferred trigger method (Button, Hover, or Both).
How do I set up the Free Shipping Bar?
Section titled “How do I set up the Free Shipping Bar?”Go to Theme Settings > Free Shipping Bar, enable it, and set your threshold amount. Choose position (Cart, Header, or Floating).
How do I add Trust Badges?
Section titled “How do I add Trust Badges?”In the theme editor, click Add section > Trust Badges. Configure the heading, layout, and add individual badge blocks with icons and descriptions.
Can I use my own fonts?
Section titled “Can I use my own fonts?”Yes. Go to Theme Settings > Typography and select from Shopify’s font library, or add custom fonts via the theme code.
How do I change the gold accent color?
Section titled “How do I change the gold accent color?”Go to Theme Settings > Colors and update the accent color. The default gold is #C9A961.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”My changes aren’t showing on the live site
Section titled “My changes aren’t showing on the live site”- Clear your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R)
- Check you clicked “Save” in the theme editor
- Verify you’re editing the published theme (not a draft)
- Try viewing in an incognito/private window
A feature isn’t working
Section titled “A feature isn’t working”- Verify the feature is enabled in Theme Settings
- Check browser console for JavaScript errors (F12)
- Ensure the section is added to the page template
- Test with other apps disabled to rule out conflicts
The theme looks different on mobile
Section titled “The theme looks different on mobile”This is by design. Avenue Luxe uses responsive layouts that adapt to screen size. Test on actual devices rather than just resizing your browser.
Page speed is slow
Section titled “Page speed is slow”- Optimize images (compress, use appropriate sizes)
- Disable unused features
- Audit installed apps for performance impact
- Check third-party scripts
- Run PageSpeed Insights
Customization
Section titled “Customization”Can I customize the CSS?
Section titled “Can I customize the CSS?”Yes. Add custom CSS in Theme Settings > Custom CSS or edit the theme’s stylesheet files directly.
How do I add a new section to a page?
Section titled “How do I add a new section to a page?”In the theme editor, navigate to the page template and click Add section. Choose from available sections and configure settings.
Can I use Avenue Luxe on multiple stores?
Section titled “Can I use Avenue Luxe on multiple stores?”Check your license terms. Most theme licenses are for a single store.
Updates and Maintenance
Section titled “Updates and Maintenance”How often is the theme updated?
Section titled “How often is the theme updated?”We release updates regularly with new features, bug fixes, and compatibility improvements. Check your purchase dashboard for the latest version.
Will updating break my customizations?
Section titled “Will updating break my customizations?”Upload the new version as a separate theme. Compare your customizations and re-apply them to the new version before publishing.
